District Collector Manoj Satyawan Mahajan Reviews Development Works at Gupteswar Shrine.
Koraput District Collector Manoj Satyawan Mahajan on Sunday visited the famous Gupteswar shrine to take stock of the progress of various development and infrastructure works being undertaken in the region.
During the field visit, the Collector reviewed the pace of construction activities, amenities for pilgrims, road connectivity, and other allied projects aimed at improving the overall experience of visitors to the religious site.He interacted with officials of different departments and instructed them to ensure quality and timely completion of the works.Mahajan emphasized that Gupteswar, being a significant religious and tourist destination, holds immense cultural and economic importance for the district.
“The ongoing works must be expedited without compromising on standards so that the shrine and surrounding areas are ready to welcome devotees and tourists in a better way,” he said.
Local residents and representatives also shared their views on the developmental needs of the area. The Collector assured them of the administration’s commitment to address issues related to infrastructure, sanitation, and basic facilities.
The visit is part of the district administration’s broader efforts to strengthen tourism infrastructure in Koraput and promote Gupteswar as a major attraction in southern Odisha among other Sub Collector jeypore A Sasya reddy, BDO Boipariguda Shakti Mohapatra, Tehsildar Snigdha choudhury and other officials where present.
