Azhar’s Family Torn Apart in Bahawalpur Strike: JeM Commander.

New Delhi, Sept. 16: A senior commander of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), Masood Ilyas Kashmiri, has appeared in a video admitting that the May 7 counterterror strike carried out under Operation Sindoor in Bahawalpur killed family members of the outfit’s chief, Maulana Masood Azhar.

The strike targeted Markaz Subhanallah, JeM’s headquarters in Bahawalpur, Punjab province of Pakistan. The location is considered the central base of the Pakistan-based terror organisation.In the viral video, Kashmiri said, “In defending this land, we embraced militancy and fought in Delhi, Kabul and Kandahar to protect its borders. After giving everything, on May 7, Indian forces struck in Bahawalpur, tearing apart the family of Maulana Masood Azhar.

The statement is the first direct acknowledgment from within JeM leadership of the Indian strike’s impact. The video has been widely circulated on social media platforms and has drawn attention in security and intelligence circles.So far, Pakistani authorities have not issued any official comment on the claim made in the video.
