Tree Plantation Drive under Ek Peed Ma Ke Naam 2.0 Campaign Held in Koraput.

A massive tree plantation programme was carried out in Koraput district on Tuesday under the Ek Peed Ma Ke Naam 2.0 campaign.The programme was organized at the Special Operations Group (SOG) campus, where local MLA Raghuram Macha attended as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the drive by planting a sapling himself.The event witnessed wide participation from senior officials and the community.

Koraput District Magistrate Manoj Satyavan Mahajan, IAS probationer Santosh Kumar Patra, Zilla Parishad Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer Benudhar Shabar, District Education Officer Prashant Kumar Mohanty, SOG officer Durgapati, and Koraput Forest Officer KV Bhaskar Rao joined the drive and each planted a sapling.School students, SOG jawans, police personnel, and other government employees also actively took part in the initiative.

Speaking on the occasion, Forest Officer KV Bhaskar Rao informed that 10,073,727 trees have so far been planted across Koraput district by various government offices, educational institutions, community groups, and individuals under the campaign. He also coordinated the plantation activity at the SOG campus, with support from Forest Officer SK Pahar Singh.

The plantation drive, part of the nation-wide campaign to promote environmental sustainability and honor motherhood through tree planting, aims to inspire citizens to contribute towards ecological balance and a greener future.
