Empowering Passengers, Enhancing Services — Amrit Samvaad Held at Koraput Station

Amrit Samvaad Conducted at Koraput Station: Strengthening Passenger–Railway Dialogue.

As part of Waltair Division’s continuous efforts to enhance passenger engagement and service delivery, Amrit Samvaad — an interactive passenger feedback and communication initiative — was organized today at Koraput Railway Station. The event witnessed active participation from passengers, local representatives, and senior railway officials.

The session was graced by Shri K. Rama Rao, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Operations), who served as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, Shri Rao emphasized that Amrit Samvaad serves as a vital platform for open dialogue between the Railways and its passengers. He urged participants to share constructive feedback and innovative suggestions, stating that continuous engagement helps the Railways identify strengths and areas for improvement.

 “Passenger feedback is a valuable asset. Recognizing good work and acting upon practical suggestions enable us to serve our passengers better,” he said.

Senior Divisional Electric Engineer, Shri M.S.N. Murty, also attended the session and interacted with passengers, assuring them that their concerns and inputs would be duly examined for feasible action.

During the interactive discussion, passengers raised key issues related to amenities, cleanliness, and travel comfort. Suggestions included Availability of quality food at affordable prices,Provision of waiting halls on all platforms, and Ensuring free access to toilet facilities for passengers.

Railway officials present took detailed note of these suggestions and assured participants of follow-up measures for improvement. The event reflected the Waltair Division’s commitment to fostering transparency, responsiveness, and mutual trust between the Railways and the traveling public.

Shri K. Pavan Kumar, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Waltair Division), coordinated the programme and expressed gratitude to the participants for their valuable feedback.
