Community Safety First: AFO Suresh Barik Leads Firefighting Awareness Drive at Jeypore

Awareness Programme on Firefighting and Rescue Techniques Held at Jeypore Fire Station.

An awareness programme-cum-demonstration on firefighting and rescue techniques was successfully organized today at Jeypore Fire Station at 11:00 a.m. The event aimed to spread awareness among citizens about fire safety, emergency preparedness, and effective rescue operations.

Adding to the significance of the programme, students from nearby schools were also invited to participate. The young attendees were demonstrated fire safety drills, taught how to respond during emergencies, and encouraged to spread awareness among their peers and families.

The programme was graced by Jeypore Municipality Chairman Shri Narendra Mohanty, Ward No. 22 Councillor Shri Vishnu Reddy, Councillor Shri Jaspal Singh, and Shri Nishan Pattanaik, who appreciated the Fire Services Department for their continued efforts to educate the public and ensure community safety.

Under the guidance of Assistant Fire Officer (AFO) Shri Suresh Barik, fire officials demonstrated modern firefighting equipment, rescue methods, and first-response techniques. Participants witnessed live rescue drills and received valuable tips on handling fire incidents and ensuring safety in public and residential areas.

AFO Suresh Barik thanked all the dignitaries and attendees for their support, emphasizing that public awareness and timely response can save countless lives and properties.

The event concluded with a pledge to promote fire safety awareness and support the Fire Services Department in its mission to safeguard the community.
