“Direct दिल से”: Interact Club Brings Joy and Learning to Jeypore Primary School

Interact Club Conducts “Direct दिल से” Happy Hour Interaction at Jeypore Primary School.

The Interact Club of Prakash Vidyalaya, in association with the Rotary Club of Jeypore, organised a community outreach programme titled “Direct दिल से – Happy Hour Interaction with School Kids” at the Power House Colony Government Primary School. The initiative, organised as part of International Interact Week 2025, aimed to create a warm and meaningful interaction between Interact members and young schoolchildren.

The one-hour programme, held from 11 am to 12 noon, witnessed the participation of 30 Interact members and over 70 students of the government primary school. Teachers and staff of the school were present throughout, extending their support. The event focused on promoting literacy, cultural learning, community bonding, and joyful interaction.

The session featured a variety of engaging activities, including indoor and outdoor games tailored to ensure the participation of all age groups. Cultural sharing through songs, poems, and short performances by both Interact members and schoolchildren added vibrancy to the event. The serving of snacks and refreshments created a relaxed environment for informal conversation and companionship.

As part of educational support, stationery kits were distributed to all participating students. This thoughtful gesture was appreciated by the school and reinforced the objective of encouraging young learners in their academic journey.

The project was executed under the leadership of the Board of Directors (2025–26) of the Interact Club of Prakash Vidyalaya. The Board comprises Puneet Payikatti (President), Subham Khadanga (Secretary), Sonakshi Patnaik (Treasurer), Swati Routray (Correspondent Director), Pawan Kumar Bahadur (Project Director), and Social Services Directors Jyotiraditya Subudhi and Angel Sharma. All members of the Board worked collectively to ensure the successful completion of the event, under the guidance of Club Advisor Teacher Ramanuj Behera.

The financial support for the project was extended by the Rotary Club of Jeypore President and Secretary, Rtn. Amar Budhwar and Rtn. Narayan Nisonko, enabling smooth execution of all planned activities.

Interact Club President Puneet Payikatti expressed his satisfaction, stating, “Direct दिल से was not just a scheduled programme—it was a heartfelt moment for every volunteer. Interacting with the children and contributing to their joy and learning truly embodied the spirit of service we believe in.”

Rotary Club of Jeypore President Rtn. Amar Budhwar also praised the initiative, saying, “The enthusiasm and teamwork displayed by the Interact Club members were truly commendable. Such initiatives help young students feel valued and supported, while also nurturing a sense of responsibility and compassion among our youth. Rotary is proud to back programmes that create real impact in the community.”

The success of the “Direct दिल से” programme reaffirmed the dedication of the Interact Club of Prakash Vidyalaya and the Rotary Club of Jeypore towards community welfare and youth-driven service activities. Both organisations expressed their commitment to continuing similar impactful initiatives in the future.
