DAV Teacher Education College Koraput Promotes Entrepreneurship Through Innovation Contest.

An institutional level Innovation and Startup competition was organized at DAV Teacher Education College under the initiative of the Higher Education Department Government of Odisha.The state government has launched this multi level competition to promote creativity innovation and entrepreneurship among college students with the aim of solving local problems simplifying daily life and business processes and supporting regional development through entrepreneurial skills and financial assistance.

The initiative also seeks to create awareness about startups and entrepreneurship among students and encourage them to generate ideas with commercial potential so that they may become successful entrepreneurs in the future.A total of twelve teams from DAV Teacher Education College participated in the competition.Among them the startup idea of developing a multilingual education mobile application for tribal students of Koraput district was declared the best.

The startup on providing low cost coaching to local children secured the second position while the idea of producing various products from black cumin seeds stood third.

Shri Roshan Kumar Kartik Chief Executive Officer ORMAS Nabarangpur graced the event as chief guest. He evaluated the contestants and shared valuable guidance on how to maximize the use of Koraput’s natural resources for entrepreneurial ventures.

Out of the twelve groups three were selected to represent the college in the upcoming university level competition.

Mr. Chakradhar Behera, Assistant Professor of Educational Studies, and Mrs. Sashmita Nayak, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, were the panel of judges along with the Resource Person.The program was co-ordinated by Mrs Shagai Sahu and Dr Purnachandra Tanti Assistant Professor under the direct supervision of College President Professor Dr Devendra Kumar Sethi. Faculty members of the college actively guided the student startup groups throughout the competition.
