Campus Verdict is Out! 🗳️ ABVP Leads DUSU, NSUI Holds Ground

Delhi University Students’ Union Election Results 2025

The results of the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections were declared on Friday, September 19. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) won three of the four top posts, while the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) secured one.

Aryan Maan of ABVP was elected as the President, defeating NSUI’s Joslyn Nandita Choudhary. Kunal Chaudhary of ABVP won the post of Secretary, while Deepika Jha of ABVP became the Joint Secretary. The NSUI managed a victory in the Vice President position, with Rahul Jhansla emerging as the winner.

Voting took place on September 18 across various colleges of Delhi University. Around 2.75 lakh students were eligible to vote, and the overall turnout was recorded at 39.45%, higher than the previous year.

The elections were conducted under strict guidelines following Delhi High Court orders, including a rule requiring 75% attendance for candidates, enforcement of anti-defacement policies, and restrictions on money and muscle power during campaigns.

The outcome reaffirms ABVP’s dominance in Delhi University politics, though NSUI’s victory in the Vice President post provided the party a significant foothold.
