Smooth for Convoys, Rough for Commuters:Jeypore Roads Stir Public Anger.

Daily commuters in jeypore are expressing deep frustration over the poor condition of roads which remain damaged and dusty for months but receive hurried patchwork repairs only during the visits of dignitaries like the Chief Minister and Governor.

Locals allege that the administration takes up temporary repairs to create an impression for VIP convoys while ordinary citizens are left to struggle with potholes uneven surfaces and rising dust.Are roads meant only for VIPs Why should common people suffer every day” asked a resident highlighting the growing anger among commuters.

Paresh Palo a resident of Power House Colony alleged that while commuters suffer daily on broken and dusty roads repairs are carried out overnight only during the visits of the Chief Minister or Governor. “Are common people not valuable We need permanent solutions not cosmetic repairs” he said.

Palo further added that every day MLAs MPs and district level officials travel in their luxury cars shielded from the ground reality.They should come on a bike and experience what we go through every single day” he remarked.

The situation not only causes inconvenience but also poses health risks and traffic hazards. Citizens have urged the authorities to move beyond cosmetic works and focus on long term solutions including proper reconstruction and durable maintenance.

People further stressed that the needs of ordinary commuters should be treated with the same seriousness as VIP movements. They demanded accountability and called for continuous monitoring to ensure safe and dust free travel throughout the year.
