District Magistrate Somesh Ku Upadhyay Reviews Works in Swabhiman Area.

Malkangiri: The District Magistrate Somesh kumar upadhyay along with SP Malkangiri Vinod Patil H on Sunday undertook an extensive visit to Orapadar, Jodaamba and Hantalguda villages in the Chitrakonda Swabhiman area to review development activities and interact with local communities.

At Orapadar, the District Magistrate inspected the local health sub-centre and held discussions with beneficiaries of the PM Janman scheme, assessing the reach of healthcare and welfare initiatives.During his visit to Jodaamba, he inspected the tailoring centre operated by self-help groups and a paper plate manufacturing unit, encouraging women to actively participate in income-generating activities. Stressing the importance of women’s empowerment, he assured continued support for their financial upliftment.

The District Magistrate also instructed the Rural Development Officer to take up immediate repair of roads in the region, many of which were damaged and washed away during this year’s heavy rains.Later, at Hantalguda, the District Magistrate visited the viewpoint, a spot of scenic importance, and directed the Community Development Officer to enhance its facilities for the benefit of locals as well as visitors.The visit reflected the administration’s focus on strengthening healthcare, women’s livelihood opportunities, infrastructure, and tourism potential in the Swabhiman area.
