Jeypore Police on High Alert to Control Crime.

With the objective of ensuring peace and safety in the region,and specially during puja festivals Jeypore police have stepped up vigilance and enforcement measures to curb incidents of crime. The move comes in the wake of growing concerns over thefts, illegal activities, and antisocial elements in the town and nearby areas.

The Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Parth jagdish Kashyap informed that a number of theft cases, including mobile phone thefts, have been successfully detected and solved under the ongoing crime control measures. Acting on intelligence inputs and swift investigation, the police managed to recover stolen items and apprehend the accused involved in multiple incidents.

Kashyap also stated that the crackdown on theft cases reflects the department’s commitment to ensuring public safety and restoring confidence among citizens. He further appealed to the public to remain vigilant, adopt preventive measures, and promptly report suspicious activities to the nearest police station.

According to IIC jeypore town police Ullash ch Rout patrolling has been intensified, especially during late-night hours, with additional personnel deployed in sensitive zones. Checkpoints have been set up at key entry and exit routes to monitor vehicle movements and deter unlawful activities. Marketplaces, residential colonies, and vulnerable pockets are also under close watch.

Quick Response Teams (QRTs) and special squads have been mobilized to act swiftly on any complaints or emergencies. Police have also emphasized the use of modern surveillance tools, including CCTVs, to keep a check on suspicious movements.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Rohit Verma has appealed to the public to extend full cooperation to the police force by sharing information on suspicious activities and by following law-and-order guidelines. “Community support is vital for effective policing. Together we can ensure Jeypore remains safe and peaceful,” the Verma stated.

Local residents have welcomed the proactive measures, expressing hope that stricter enforcement will help in reducing criminal activities and boosting public confidence.
