Koraput District Celebrates Senior Citizens Day with Enthusiasm and Respect

The District Administration, Koraput, celebrated Senior Citizens Day today, 10th October 2025, at the Town Hall, Koraput, in a festive and respectful atmosphere.

Hon’ble Koraput MLA Mr. Raghuram Mach, Koraput Zilla Parishad Chairperson Ms. Sasmita Meleka, and Deputy District Collector Mr. Premlal Hial graced the occasion as chief guests. They fondly recalled the experiences of senior citizens and acknowledged their invaluable contributions to society, offering heartfelt tributes to them.

Around 300 senior citizens participated in the celebration. To mark the occasion, a Yoga Camp and a Free Health Camp were organized, where Hon’ble District Collector Mr. Manoj Satyawan Mahajan (V.P.S.) interacted warmly with the elderly participants and inquired about their well-being.

Distinguished senior citizens were also honored with certificates and mementos by the dignitaries as a token of appreciation for their lifetime of service and dedication. The event concluded with a vibrant cultural program, symbolizing the spirit of respect and care for the elderly.

The program was presided over by the District Social Security Officer, and organized under the supervision and coordination of Mr. Tarun Tapan Prahraj.
