Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati Urges CUO to Improve Student Enrolment and Staff Recruitment.

Odisha Governor and Chancellor of Universities Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati on Tuesday visited the Central University of Odisha (CUO), Sunabeda, and held a detailed review of the institution’s academic and administrative functioning.During his interaction with faculty members and students, the Governor urged the university authorities to identify and address the challenges hindering student enrolment.

He emphasised that improving enrolment is vital for the growth and visibility of the university in the higher education sector.Dr. Kambhampati further stressed the urgent need for the recruitment of permanent teaching and non-teaching staff. Highlighting that quality faculty is central to academic excellence, he remarked, “Students have the right to choose a university based on the quality of education and quality of the faculty.

The Governor underlined two key principles for elevating CUO’s stature—enhancing the quality of faculty and improving the university’s ranking and grading points.
